Bankable Wisdom, a leading pan-African online learning platform, has been selected as a recipient of the Mastercard Foundation’s Fund for Alumni Start-ups in Transition (FAST) Program. This prestigious grant provides from $5000 to $15,000 in support, empowering Bankable Wisdom to further its mission of equipping African youth with high-demand tech skills and bridging the employment gap across the continent.
The FAST Program, launched by the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with organizations including CCHub Nigeria, MDF Global, Concree, Scale Up, Savannah Innovations Lab, the Center for Enterprising Organizations, Inkomoko, and the Africa Leadership Academy (ALA), aims to support the next generation of entrepreneurs. It offers funding, business development training, and access to a supportive network for alumni from initiatives such as the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), African Leadership Academy (ALA), Anzisha Prize, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
With the support from the FAST Program, Bankable Wisdom plans to introduce new programs in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Bankable Wisdom also hopes to collaborate with industry leaders to provide mentorship, internships, and job placement opportunities for graduates.
Precious Azuonwu, founder and CEO of Bankable Wisdom, expressed his enthusiasm:
“Receiving the Mastercard FAST Program grant is a significant milestone for us. It not only validates our efforts but also provides the resources needed to scale our impact, transforming more lives through accessible tech education.”
