Popular Nigerian skitmaker, Taomaa, has taken to social media to publicly call out telecommunications giant, Glo, for its ongoing service disruptions. The influencer, who has built a strong online presence, tweeted her dissatisfaction with the network provider after being unable to make or receive calls for over a month.
In her tweet, Taomaa expressed frustration over the lack of resolution despite multiple attempts to reach out to customer support. She also clarified that her service issues were not related to the National Identification Number (NIN) verification process, which has been a common reason for network disruptions across telecom providers in Nigeria.
“Dear @GloWorld, it’s no longer funny. Taking out my line without my permission isn’t nice. I’ve not been able to receive or make calls for over a month now. Made numerous calls and nothing is being done. Hopefully, you see this and work on it ASAP. And no, this isn’t because of NIN blah blah thing, all my documentation is up to date,” she wrote on Twitter.
The tweet, which has since garnered thousands of reactions from concerned users, highlights the increasing dissatisfaction with Glo’s service, with many others voicing similar complaints on the platform.
Glo has yet to respond publicly to Taomaa’s claims. However, the telecommunications company has been previously criticized for poor customer service and ongoing technical glitches affecting users nationwide.
As of press time, efforts to reach Glo’s customer care for an official statement have been unsuccessful. This incident adds to the growing concern over the quality of service provided by mobile network operators in Nigeria, with users frequently taking to social media to vent frustrations over network disruptions and customer service challenges.
The question remains whether Glo will address these issues promptly or risk losing further trust from its customer base, particularly influencers and digital content creators like Taomaa, who rely heavily on uninterrupted communication for their businesses.
