Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has revealed that her children are being bullied in school as a result of false narratives circulating about her on social media.
The actress made the disclosure on Monday in an emotional video shared on her Instagram page, where she spoke about the negative impact of online misinformation on her family.
Her comments come days after she reportedly had a TikToker arrested for allegedly defaming her and her husband with rumours linked to popular blogger Cutie Juls.
Explaining her decision to take legal action, Mercy Johnson said her children are suffering because internet trolls have branded her a “witch,” leading to harassment and discrimination against them in school.
She warned bloggers and social media users to stop dragging her family into false stories, alleging that some Nigerian blogs spreading misinformation about her are owned by colleagues within the entertainment industry.
“I’m begging you, because subsequently I’m not going to listen to anybody. I’m going to let the law take its full course,” she said.

The actress lamented that some parents reportedly instruct their children not to associate with her kids because of the rumours being circulated online.
“When you write these lies, I have teenagers who are being bullied in school because of the things you write. There are parents who tell their kids not to let my kids touch their school bags because I’m a witch,” she stated.
Mercy Johnson stressed that she would no longer tolerate defamatory content, warning that anyone who makes allegations against her must be prepared to prove them in court.
She further accused some blogs of being owned or sponsored by colleagues who dislike her, adding that bloggers are sometimes paid to publish damaging stories.
The actress reaffirmed that her focus remains on her husband and children, insisting she has no interest in competing with anyone in the industry.

“I got married alone. I have no business with anybody. There’s no reason for anyone to wake up every morning counting the years of my marriage and trying to break it,” she said.
Mercy Johnson concluded by saying she does not seek validation from anyone and would continue to protect her family through legal means.
